The Best Spooky Mani (In the cutest way possible)

It’s safe to say we all wait for this time of year. Who doesn’t love spooky season?! As a nail tech it holds a very special place in my heart, It challenges me more every year and that’s the best part. Trends do change year to year and some things cycle back around but nonetheless this time of year always keeps me on my toes.

As the season approaches I already see a few trending designs and it’s safe to say my little paint brushes and I are ready. During the summer we did A-LOT of raised 3D designs, cat eye and chrome and that will all be seen again. Pumpkins will make a strong come back in a wide variation. I’ve already seen some cat eye pumpkin designs that have caught my eye. There’s been a few 3D little critters that have made their way into my instagram feed as well, definitely more on the spooky side. I mean just imagine waking up in the middle of the night and you see a spider! But then you realize it’s just your nail, that’s a horror movie plot itself in my opinion.

I know I know all these designs sound like there’s quite a bit going on, and that might not be everyone’s speed but let me not spook you. We have a place for everyone always! If you’re into a more demure style of mani then we’re also here for you. My little ghost friends are always around and they’re the cutest on a simple nude base. Just think about almost as an elevated french manicure. An accent nail is always a fun twist to any nail set, chrome is a little addition that can either be isolated, even as a gold little spider web just to add a little sparkle to any nail.

The options are endless, and my brain is constantly working to keep up with it just to be ready for whatever ideas come to my table. And I’m always excited to see what the day brings! From the most complicated designs that you can think of to the simplest dot on a nail it can all make a huge difference. I’m ready to see what the season brings in. I’ll catch you gouls later, spooky season is in full swing so I’ll be lighting my jack o lanterns and awaiting to see what spells I can cast on some nails!
